The Immersion Suit V20 OP is a SOLAS-approved immersion suit designed to provide thermal protection and improve survival during emergency immersion at sea. Developed for professional maritime applications, the suit is intended for use together with an approved additional lifejacket and strobe light.
The suit is manufactured from 5.0 mm neoprene, providing effective insulation against cold water and helping to reduce heat loss following immersion. The neoprene material is also self-extinguishing, providing an additional level of protection in demanding maritime and emergency environments.
The V20 OP is designed as a 6-hour SOLAS immersion suit, providing thermal protection intended to help protect the wearer against cold-water exposure, cold-water shock and hypothermia during the critical period following an emergency evacuation.
Unlike immersion suits with integrated buoyancy, the V20 OP must be worn with an approved additional lifejacket. This configuration allows the suit to focus on thermal protection while the separate lifejacket provides the required flotation and positioning support in the water.
For rescue operations, the suit includes a buddy line with a stainless-steel carbine snap. This allows users to remain connected to others during an evacuation or while awaiting rescue, which can be particularly valuable in poor visibility, rough seas or other challenging conditions.
The V20 OP is designed to fulfil the applicable SOLAS requirements for immersion suits and is therefore suitable for professional maritime environments where certified emergency survival equipment is required.
With its 5 mm neoprene construction, 6-hour thermal protection, self-extinguishing material and practical rescue features, the Immersion Suit V20 OP provides a straightforward and reliable solution for commercial vessels and other SOLAS-regulated maritime operations.
