The CGS 6 L X-Fog WA6XF-A is a professional water-based fire extinguisher designed for rapid and effective suppression of Class A fires involving solid combustible materials such as wood, paper, textiles and other organic materials. Its X-Fog extinguishing agent combines rapid cooling with deep penetration into burning materials, helping to control the fire while reducing the risk of re-ignition.
The X-Fog agent provides up to four times the extinguishing performance of conventional water in Class A applications. As the extinguishing liquid penetrates the burning material, it helps cool both the surface and underlying areas where heat and embers may remain. This impregnating effect provides additional protection against the fire reigniting after the initial extinguishing operation.
The extinguisher has a 34A fire rating and contains 6 litres of X-Fog water-based extinguishing agent. With a discharge time of approximately 43 seconds and a range of 4–5 metres, it allows the user to maintain a practical distance from the fire while delivering the extinguishing agent effectively.
X-Fog is a PFAS-free and surfactant-free extinguishing agent with a strong environmental profile. It is designed to provide effective fire suppression while avoiding many of the environmental concerns associated with traditional foam extinguishing agents.
The WA6XF-A can also be used near electrical installations up to 1,000 V, provided a minimum safety distance of 1 metre is maintained. This makes it suitable for environments where electrical equipment may be present alongside Class A fire risks.
The extinguisher is housed in a robust steel cylinder and uses nitrogen (N₂) as the propellant. It operates at 15 bar and is suitable for temperatures between +5°C and +60°C.
Importantly for maritime applications, the CGS WA6XF-A is Wheelmark approved, meaning it is approved for use aboard vessels under the applicable marine equipment requirements. It also complies with EN3-7 and carries CE marking.
The CGS 6 L X-Fog is particularly suitable for offices, hotels, schools, warehouses, workshops, technical areas, public buildings, accommodation areas and vessels where an effective water-based alternative to traditional foam extinguishers is required.
